Julie Gubbin incorporated Antiquified and started with a web site in 2003, and in 2004 she opened a shop in the Arts district of Northeast Minneapolis. Her 1700 square foot store has two floors and is one of the very few one owner shops that does not rent space to other dealers. This gives her the ability to keep collections together and have fun displays and attractive vinyettes. Next year will mark ten years of Julie Gubbin playing at her store named “Antiquified” in Minneapolis. The name Antiquified came from her children watching Winnie the Pooh and hearing the character Tigger speak. Her background in public relations have given her an edge in the challenging market of antiques
