Looking for tips on jewelry making and design and turning it into a business? Host Sister Rafika talks to entrepreneur and jewelry designer Melody D. Burns of Kiini iBura Jewelry also known as KI Jewelry located in Brooklyn, NY who tells her inspiring story of her journey and shares "jems" and secrets about the process of jewelry making and designing.  She has adorned such celebrities as Ruby Dee, Jill Scott, Angie Stone, Camille Cosby and Sanaa Lathan. She has been featured in the New York Times, Elle and Essence Magazine. She uses precious and semi precious stones like Ghanian glass, fresh water pearls, African amber and Austrian crystal to create amazing one of a kind pieces. Her designs can adorn causal or evening wear with personal pizzazz for both men and women.  What started out as a hobby has brought great joy to Melody Burns especially when she was able to help an alopecia patient who suffered hair loss as one of the symptons. Melody designed a pair of special earings for the patient. When she wore them, she then realized her beauty and wore her baldness with pride.
