There have been times in my life, and I know in your life, that you saw potential interactions of opportunities as “out of your league.”

The ASSUMPTION that what I wanted to accomplish was “out of my reach” kept me from even trying.

For some of us being “STRETCHED” to consider embracing a new idea or new opportunities tend to be terrifying!

Faith always means risk. Everything in life is a risk. Ecclesiastes 10:8 says, “When you work in a quarry, stones might fall and crush you! When you chop wood, there is danger with each stroke of your ax! Such are the risks of life” (NLT).

The idea of the comfort zone goes back to a classic experiment in psychology. Back in 1908, psychologists Robert M. Yerkes and John D. Dodson explained that a state of relative comfort created a steady level of performance In order to maximize performance, however, we need a state of relative anxiety—a space where our stress levels are slightly higher than normal. This space is called "Optimal Anxiety," and it's just outside our comfort zone. Too much anxiety and we're too stressed to be productive, and our performance drops off sharply.
