PLEASE NOTE: This is a pre-recorded edited version of Monday's show (11/16/09). I had to fix some things due to technical difficulties. I remember exactly where I was when I read that Dominican author Junot Diaz, whose collection of short stories garnered my complete admiration for his storytelling style, won the Pulitzer Prize in Literature for The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.
His novel was truly one of the most captivating novels I've read to date- with its crazy footnotes and familiar characters- and this segment of Monday Musings finds myself and my compadre, Dan Tres Omi, discussing Diaz's literary contributions, the novel, and the rumored upcoming film.
So read up and tune in- you know you want to!
