Hi Dr. Moe, I had written a response, and then realized my husband was signed on and not me!! So if it went to your box or page under his name I apologize!! THANK you for your honest reply. I think we may have more in common than not re religion--odd as that may sound. I have checked out your webpage, thanks for the link. OF COURSE, I am OK with who you are!!! More than OK! How could I not be? I look forward to getting to know you better here on BlogTalkRadio. Cait

Mother Cait, I'll be glad to have you as a friend. You should know that I have no use for religion, catholicism in particular. I don't hate religion like I used to. But I don't know if I'm very tolerant. My idea of spirituality comes from my work as a therapist and a spiritual seeker. Check me out at http://www.mauriceturmel.com If you're ok with who I am, then sure we can be friends. Dr Moe

Topic: LOVE! The many opportunities for love. To give it, to share it, to receive it. How do we understand love? Experience it in this life? How do we recognize it? As Christians, how are we recognized? This past week there have been various examples and lessons I've had, and that others have shared with me about the opportunity or challenge of love. We can learn from our own lives how to live love, or ignore love. This is tonight's theme for The Independent Catholic. Join in. Monday 11 PM Eastern www.blogtalkradio.com/theismnetwork

    THE INDEPENDENT CATHOLIC

THE INDEPENDENT CATHOLIC this Monday will focus on hosting worshipping communities in one's own home! The positive and negative aspects of this, and what can be learned from others' experiences. How to embrace the "House Church" or "Base Community" or "Cell Community" ideas and make them truly life-giving for the members--without destroying the priests and ministers! What kind of personality is required, what spiritual gifts needed to open the home to stranger and friend in Christ's Name. Wh

Opposition to Mandatory Spay Neuter & Pet Limits

    *  The harsh Dallas Animal Ordinances target owners who contain their dogs on
    their own property.
    *  The laws carry stiff penalties for owners who are trying to do the right
thing and keep their dogs on their own property.
    *   There are FINES for:

    1.  Fines for intact dogs. Sec. 7-4.10.
    2.  Fines for no breeders permit.    Sec. 7-4.11.
    3.  Fines for tethering.  Sec. 7-3.1.
    4.  Fines for violations of space requirements. Sec.  7-4.9.
    5.  Fines for pet limit violations.  Sec. 7-4.6.
    6.  Civil penalties of $1000.00 per day for violations.  Sec. 7-8.1(h).

    *  All of these FINES are levied at owners who contain their dogs on their own property which makes absolutely NO sense.
    *  These laws punish owners for trying to do the right thing and they target lower income dog owners.
    *  If an owner cannot afford all the fines, they will give up their dog to animal control which will likely euthanize. Then the owner goes and gets another dog. And for what? Trying to do the right thing and contain their dog on their own property.
    *  The problem is LOOSE dogs on the streets of Dallas, NOT contained dogs
    that have owners.
