    Good Bishops!!

    Friends,

Tonight's INDEPENDENT CATHOLIC segment, "The Bishop's Den" was really wonderful!

Bishop Joe Grenier, of the Celtic Christian Church,  welcomed Bishops Andrew FitzGibbon and Jane FitzGibbon of the Lindisfarne Community in NY.  In addition to sharing inter-communion these bishops are friends, which allowed for a great conversation about each community's priestly formation program.  Though similar in many ways, each community has it's own tradition and experience with formation, and sharing this will only be a benefit to each one, and to those priests within the individual Churches.

We thank Bishops Andrew and Jane, and those who called in to talk about formation experiences.  How do we best serve those in our Churches?  This is the goal of our bishops, and this show brought that out clearly.  They are thinking and planning for the time when they will no longer be here...providing for communities, ministries, priests and their Churches to continue!  This is the service that came through loud and clear as they discussed why they pursued their programs.  Their dedication is very real and loving!

Thank you to all who participated tonight.  I hope those who will listen to the podcasts, or download from BlogTalkRadio will appreciate the gifts we have in these bishops, and join us for future talks on this topic and others.

We will continue this segment of "The Bishop's Den" and return to priestly formation as well as service within local communities, each month.  Please tune in for these candid discussions among bishops who truly care!
