Hello World.  Are you better off than you were a year, two years, five years, or even eight years ago . . . ? 

With America's housing market imploding, an extremely weak job market, gas prices totally changing, (3.50 a gallon is now cheap) . . . and of course the war(s) 12+ billion a month, just for Iraq . . . are you better off? 

Families struggling to pay the mortgage, (one house at a time) and put food on the table, and gas in the tank of their car . . . to go to work in the first place, if you still have your job!!! 

The cost of college tuition is increasing at unprecedented rates!!!

Almost 500,000 jobs lost this year.  With many more to come. 

Home inventories highest ever in our nations history . . . over 4 million.  Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac . . . have already failed. The Treasury Department is trying to figure out how to patch it up.  Private money alone "ain't" gonna do it!!!  Hello . . . tax payer bailout!!!

The financial market is in the tank . . . literally.  Our nations financial instability is inprecedented.  And correction . . . is a long way off.  America is on sale . . . at half off, and foreign entities are the buyers!!!

So as we engage in the speeches and personalities of both conventions . . . let us remember this is really about . . . issues, policies, and legislation.  All of which lasts longer than "any" politician!!!
