Reaction to Article on Yahoo.com re: Hilary Clinto Speaking at NDC

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/cvn_clinton

This article really helped to display the emotion and environment that was present during Clinton's speech at the DNC.  I was able to understand  just how  important it is to use clear and precise sentences.  As I read the story slowly, I was really able to take in the strong verbs that Nedra Pickler had used and to pay attention to what emotions they had evoked.  The title of the article was Clinton says election isn't about her.  The climate and the tone were well described and I felt I understood the Democratic Party's challenge in Unifying the party.  I now understand more about how passionate the Clinton supporters have been and how important this speech was to officially put her campaign for president to rest.  I especially appreciate the statement - "My mother was born before women could vote," Clinton reminded them. "But in this election my daughter got to vote for her mother for president.".  That really touched me and helped me to understand how big this moment is and how historic her campaign has been for womens rights (however silent the undertone maybe).  I really am grateful to have been around to experience this piece of history - to be able to say I remember when.  Her campaign even though unsuccessful in obtaining the nomination, was a HUGE success for women.  Although, It's still kind of sad to know that maybe the U.S. still may not be ... ahem... ready for a woman president.  I do appreciate the spirit of change the party is trying to evoke.  I wonder how McCain is going to present his theory of change in response to the convention.  hmmmm...
