Why Its Important To Do What You Say You Are Going To Do

How many times have you said "I'm going to leave on time" only to linger around & make yourself late.  Or told someone I'll call you later just to forget and have to apologize the next day.  Or worse even think nothing of it.

That is actually very harmful in your quest for self mastery.  Every time you say "I will do ...." you are calling all parts of yourself to attention for instructions.  Your conscious mind is in control and your subconscious mind which only knows how to carrry out intentions is ready to follow through.

The problem comes in when you give up or quit or don't really carry out what you say you're going to do.  You are actually training the part of yourself that actually makes things happen to fail.  Like saying I'm going to do 20 situps and you only do 5.   Can't lose your gut that way.  If you fail to do this with little things you'll have a much harder time fulfilling on major tasks.

There's much more to understand about this but this is only a short blog post not an E-book on Self Mastery to be released shortly.  :-)

For now just remember to keep your word to yourself. And teach that to children.  Even with the little things.  Word is bond & bond is life and I shall give my life before my word should fail.
