If you're like most people who decide they want to do business on the internet you probably spend a lot of time collecting emails offering you the newest shiny tool or system, loads of free reports & ebooks and the course that only has one available seat left. You could waste a lot of time (and money) learning how to make some money on the internet. I know from first hand experience. So to save you some time I'd like to share some of the resources that you are going to need to be successful. The first major ingredient is your own sense of purpose. When people hear the words internet marketing they think of selling what's hot. But What's hot may not be what you're all about. Once you identify what's important to you and what of value you have to offer to the world, internet marketing is just the process of bringing you to the people on the web. Don't jump at every affiliate product of hot niche just because there is a lot of hype & buzz. Be yourself. The next major ingredient is good solid relationships. People forget that just like in the real world before you just decide to jump into a field you have to take some time & get some guidance from knowledgable people you can trust. You can't just call yourself an internet marketer (without a target market) on Monday, buy some course or super gadget on Tuesday and start recieving big paychecks by the end of the week. Without at least one good person with a sense of what to do and what not to do you can't avoid your blind spots.
I guess I'll only give you the first 3 ingredients because I could go on for a while. The next ingredient is actually a mixture of patience and persistence. There is no such thing as making quick money or fast cash or overnight success. You can't avoid the time that it takes you to know what you're doing and how to do it right. And you can't achieve results based on someone else's time table. So take your time to build your business the right way. The pyramids were not built in a week. With that said the truth is you will also have failures mixed in with your success. You'll purchase tools and realize you just wasted money, you'll spend time and realize you got nothing in return, you'll develop products that don't have as much impact at first as you thought they would. Its all part of the learning process. All successful business owners can tell you stories of things they did that didn't work out right. Don't give up when you find yourself in one of these situations.
Maintain focus, put the right systems in place and lets see what you can do.
