Janet Arce of Baltimore's Latino Communidad: Stop the Violence/Violencia No Mas

Violence is a major problem in urban areas. Baltimore is no different. This story is from the Latino community. Local Latino youth are tired of the violence, tired of the killings and beatings. Janet Arce is a community advocate. I call her the Latino Bea Gaddy. She feeds the hungry and helps the homeless. She has a heart of gold. Somehow, she says, the youth want and need help; Janet is determined to help them.
