The Global Sisterhood is honored to present a series of conversations with women of the Middle East. Our intention is to inform, inspire and engage women from other countries to understand the beautiful culture that has evolved throughout the Middle East. There is much unrest in this area of the world, but at the same time this area has a rich and intriguing history that we can all learn from. We are speaking with these women with the intention to better understand one another and in turn, create positive solutions to the issues we face as women globally.

Alaa Mansour is a young woman and student from Egypt and proud to be part of the Women For One Team. She is completing her Master's degree in Comparative Literature. She is also an English instructor and volunteers in the Resala Charitable Organization which is an English teaching project. Alaa believes that women are courageous and have the power to change the world. Alaa knows that whether you are a mother, a sister, a friend or a child, you have to believe that you can make a change because “Where there is a woman there is magic." - Ntozake Shange
