HEATH is an Education Pioneers Graduate Fellow. In 2012, he graduated from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service. For his final project at the Clinton School, he served as a project manager with the Central Little Rock Promise Neighborhood (CLRPN) where he developed a manual on innovative teaching practices for area teachers. He also served as the Promise Neighborhood’s Summer Reading Program Coordinator where he initiated community-wide partnerships with local associations and institutions. He also conducted over 60 public programs for nearly 1,000 students to improve access to public resources, books and enrichment.
Heath has taught English and LifeSkills around the globe, from the frontlines of the war on terror to the Dominican Republic and post-earthquake Haiti. His current work, in Washington, D.C., with the national non-profit GreatSchools, supports access and equity for DCfamilies in finding and choosing a high quality schools for their students, ensuring that parents have proper guidance and resources to make that choice.
