    Davin and Linda from MMAC Show Recap


    Monday night's show for MMAC fans went off without a hitch, minus a little hiccup at the beginning of the show. I had the pleasure of speaking with Davin Miyoshi and Linda Desautels from Make Me a Celebrity. Davin is one of the creators and current developers of the game, and Linda is (and has been for quite some time) the highest status celebrity in the game.     I started the questions before I took any callers and asked Davin where he got the idea from the game. "It was a group effort, so we've got a team of four of us, and we were just brainstorming one day on how we can build in some role-playing game within our Tv community and the first thing that sprung to mind, you know, actors and celebrities," said Davin.

    I then turned to Linda and asked her how she found this program: "Well, like a lot of applications first, you know, people would send it to me, and Ignore, Ignore, and its like...You know, let me look at this! One of my friends, again, sent me an invite, and I opened it up, and I was like, 'Oh wow, this is pretty cool,'." said Linda, "This one you can go all over the place and find things to amuse yourself with, which i have, for months...so I got addicted to it, and as they added more and more things, there was more and more to do, so basically you don't have to leave that one at all!"

    Then Davin got in:

    Davin: "Linda, how long ago did you join, actually?"
    Linda: "I think it was either Late May or Early June, I wasnt the first wave that joined, but I believe thats when it was."
    Davin: "Thats great"

    I then thought of my next question, "When did you actually launch the program, as in the Beta Version?" I said. Then Davin replied, "We first launched it, it was, early May, if I am remembering correctly, that was the really really early versions of it."

    We then took our first caller, from the Catwoman...

    Catwoman: "Omg, I wanna tell you guys, thank you so much for doing the show, Im your biggest fan, Im the catwoman."
    Linda: "Oh Heyyy, how are you?"
    Catwoman: "I feel like I'm talking with a real celebrity."
    Linda: "No, I don't have all that money!"
    eSizzle: "Well, you have mesmo money!"
    Linda: "This is true, I have a lot of that."
    Catwoman: "You guys are really awesome, and Im glad you are there, and Thank you"
    Davin: "Thank you, thanks for playing, definitely" "Well what else do you need besides mesmo dollars?" "Shouldnt need any more than that!"
    eSizzle: "Right, right!"
    Linda: "True"
    Davin: "Who needs real dollars anymore?"
    Catwoman: "Right, its not worth anything anyways"

    I then started talking about how Ive made lots of friends in the game....

    eSizzle: "I know for me, when i first started the game, I've made friends from all over the world, Australia, I've made friends in India, the U.K."
    Davin: "Thats great"
    eSizzle: "We keep in concact with each other all the time, and not even in mesmo, we chat in MSN, and we've made groups on facebook, and keep in touch with each other that way."
    Davin: "Thats great"
    Linda: "Ive met a lot of friends through the game, ALOT of friends through the game, you know we chat back and forth in the emails, so its nice, Davin, its really been good for that too, not only is it fun to play, it has opened up a lot of friendships for people."
    Davin: "Yes, thats really great to hear, thats definitely one of our goals here, is to connect people and get people playing with each other, not only the friends that you started with, but also making new friends on the game."
