TheEncourager

Dr. Matthew A. Barber, the baby son of his beloved parents, Rev. William and Mrs. Annie Mae Barber, is known for his human but divine, life-applicable, realistic approach to preaching and teaching God’s Holy Word. He is the Pastor and Visionary of Open Door Tabernacle Training Center in Johnson City, Tennessee, where he continues to build reputation as a force for reconciliation and harmony across ethnic, denominational, generational and geographic lines. This wise, humble, spirit-led visionary loves the people of God and delights in shepherding his multi-cultural flock. His Christian and musical education started at an early age. During childhood he was a member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where his father, Rev. William Barber, Sr. was the pastor. Dr. Barber now serves as Overseer of the church and is the Founder of I Believe God Ministries, Int’l. In addition, Dr. Barber is a Marketing Representative for Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing. He is a prophet, preacher, teacher, renowned evangelist, author and a motivational speaker traveling nationwide as well as abroad. He is a gospel recording artist, composer, arranger, musician, spiritual DJ and a television personality. As an anointed and gifted counselor, administrator and entrepreneur, Dr. Barber is the Founder and CEO of The Interpersonal Connection (TIC), an organization that provides Stress Awareness, Stress Management Workshops and Consulting Services. He is a Spiritual Advisor and a Life Coach. Dr. Barber is fueled by a passion to fulfill God’s mandate for these turbulent times. He thrives on character building by merging spirituality with everyday living to provoke people to pursue a life of integrity and to positively impact the difficult changes encountered in daily life. Dr. Barber’s fundamental mission is to evangelize the lost, edify the believer, equip them for the work of the ministry and help grow the local and global church.

    This Episode is about YOU....

This Episode is about YOU. Thank You are two small words but when they come from a grateful heart they mean MUCH. THANK YOU - To YOU my loyal family, friends, listeners and supporters. Always Appreciate what and who you have in your life because in just a second everything and everyone could disappear. When you opened your eyes this morning, God had already seen you day unfold. He covered each corner of it with His grace, tucked His love into every moment and tenderly wrapped it with the quiet strength your heart would need. Happiness keeps you sweet. Trials keep you human. Failures keep you humble. Success keeps you glowing but God keeps you going. May the Lord bless you and keep you the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. May Goodness and Mercy be with you today, every day and in every way. When a door opens, walk through it. Trust that the door has opened for a reason and you have been guided to it. Sometimes we have a tendency to overanalyze or agonize over the decision, but it is quicker to simply go through the door and discover what's there as that is the only way to know. Even if it doesn't seem right at first, opening this door may lead to another door that will take us where we need to go. Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident. It's not a matter of circumstance, but it is a matter of choice. "Be Encouraged"
