Call in to speak with the host
The Ten Commandments were given to Moses thousands of years ago to provide some structure - a way forward morally, socially and legally - to a particular culural group who had just found their freedom and were at the beginnings of a new society.
Certainly, there is still much wisdom, along with what is surely now considered common sense within a civilised society, but perhaps, using them as a basis, we can start to write our own commandments as we move forward into a more enlightened age.
If you were going to put any rules for yourself in stone, at least for the forseeable future, what would you carve into those tablets?
What are the most important guidelines you could offer your ego and your various personalities (the perfectionist, the procrastinator, the victim, etc...) as you establish a new way of living for yourself - a new inner society, so to speak?
Join Claire Hennekam this week as she looks not only at the commandments, but structured religion in general, and considers how even those who do not feel an affinity towards a particular faith may be able to piece together key elements from religions across the globe in order to assist in their own inner healing journey.
