Understanding Your Diabetes and How To Manage It

There are two types of diabetes. There is Type 1 and Type 2. They are two different types of illness altogether. One thing they both have in common is no sweets. Lets begin to talk about the differences.

With Type 1 diabetics, the pancreas does not have the proper amount of sugars to maintain your diet. Then with having no were else to go but through the blood stream, leaving harmful levels to their organs. This is the reasoning for taking shots. The shots help to maintain good sugar balance and helps to do what the pancreas can not do.

With Type 2 diabetics, the pancreas helps to make enough insulin that body is consuming. Even though that can be good for there is also bad news to it as well. That bad news is that if over consumes sugar in the body then the sugar can produce energy. What can happen with this idea is that it can continue making the insulin but then the more help it gets helps it to get sugar into the cells. Then it burns out. Once this takes place, the once Type 2 diabetic becomes a Type 1 diabetic.

The type 2 diabetic needs to manage his/her sugar intake. By doing this, it will help to manage your weight and lead you to burn stomach fat. Helping with the belly fat problems. For the type 2 diabetic it means eating less but you can enjoy more of the foods that a Type 1 diabetic cant. In turn this may do several things for you. It may help you to loose any water retention you have, and you should be doing regular exercise.

By reading your labels and becoming aware of what they mean can help you live a healthier lifestyle. In doing this, you can still enjoy those foods but the less of the wrong things on it can make it easier on your pancreas.
