Tips to Include Delicious Fruits & Vegetables in Diet

Just about everybody knows that the fruits & vegetables are important part of any healthy diet. Although we know this is true, lots of us find it very hard to include recommended 3 to 5 servings of fresh vegetables & 2 to 4 servings of fresh fruit every day in crash diets. When you learn some easy tricks, soon you will have no trouble of eating various fruits & vegetables daily.

First, you will have to become familiar with the serving sizes and they are not very big as you think. Here are some guidelines for a serving of fruits and vegetables:

1 cup of the raw leafy vegetables

1/2 cup of vegetables, cooked and chopped raw

1/2 cup of cooked and canned legumes (beans or peas)

    3/4 cup vegetable juice

1 medium apple, or banana or orange

1/2 cup of the chopped, cooked and canned fruit

    3/4 cup fruit juice

    1/4 cup of dried fruit

Here are few practical tips that anyone can make use of:

Make sure to include one fruit serving in breakfast. Try glass of orange juice as well as whole piece of fruit, and smoothie by using juice & whole fruit.

Use snack time to add serving or else two of fruits and vegetables to your every day diet, like raw vegetables with light dip and dressing, or bowl of fruit topped with fat free yogurt.

Include two servings of fresh vegetables with lunch & dinner. Lunch for example will be to add lettuce & tomato to sandwich, and few raw vegetables on side. For the dinner, try serving two sides of the steamed vegetables. Eat bowl of tomato and vegetable soup or else gazpacho as appetizer. Try pizza with plenty of veggie toppings that is best to burn stomach fact.
