10 Strategies to Get Your Partner Healthier

Living a healthy lifestyle is challenging enough alone, but even more so when your partner doesn’t share your goals.  The good thing is, there are ways to get them involved that can benefit you both!

  1. Be an example
  2. Make it a part of your lifestyle: incorporate an active lifestyle in your daily routine
  3. Make small changes
  4. Get others involved…invite friends and other couples into your new challenge
  5. Don’t allow it to drive a wedge between the relationship
  6. Take charge of the kitchen
  7. Give rewards or gifts to celebrate success and accomplishments; workout clothes, a massage, etc.
  8. Plan healthy outings or date nights….dancing, hiking, etc.
  9. Give positive feedback. Compliment them…tell them how great they are looking or how pleasant they are to be around now that they are feeling better.
  10. Make sure you partner to bed! Whatever it takes to get them there…make sure they get rest so their bodies and mind are capable of being active
