The Corner is HOT!
On our last show, "Is there One Black America?", and we have received so many responses. Most agreed there are least, three different types. As one of our bloggers (Hogzilla) stated, it's either the ones who recognize / are playing the game, those who watch the game being played, and those who don't know the game is being played. This conversation has spurned several other topics that we will cover in the future. Such as, Spike Lee's acclaimed movie "Bamboozled", satiric profile of blacks in entertainment. And how these one dimensional characters continue to hide the true face(s) of Black America. So what should we do? If we continue along this path, our sons will always be considered the usual suspects wheneven a criminal act is committed. And our daughters will always be Golddigging Strippers. Our children will be designated to nothingness ... nothing to offer and nothing will be gained. Let's talk about it, we'll laugh, cry, get pissed and get real. Good Monday Morning, to all of our bloggers, and listeners to The Corner. Hope that, you all had a wonderful weekend and loved last weeks show, titled "Is There Only 1 Black America"? First of all, I have to apologize to my co-host/ main-man, Mitchell - The Memphis Mac. I did not allow him enough time to speak during the show, because this was such a great topic! Mitchell and I have had so many spirited conversations in the past regarding this matter, others and sometimes time just gets away from us. We only wish you continue to listen to us. Tell your friends and continue to send us your e-mails on topics and issues of the day. We are not only pleased, but blessed with your enthusiasm and all your support for our show. Remember, this is your show, more so than it is ours! We are a team, and we can't do it without your support. This week, we will continue last weeks discussion, read some e-mails and touch on other issues that affect our community. And I went to the BET Hip-Hop Awards … ain’t I the coolest!!! Boy, did I see some outfits that DIDN’T fit!!!
