With the temperatures last week in Gotham you'd have thought we already were in the proverbial dog days of summer. Though the thermostat has dipped back to normal range, this week's episode still goes to the dogs with the return of Ted Rheingold, top dog (aka founder) of the largest online communities catering to our canine and feline pals - Dogster and Catster. Recently acquired by SAY Media, Ted joins today's program to talk about the evolution of his entrepreneurship, the experience of pivoting a business and what it's like to change his role. Also this week ... With all the brou-ha-ha over Rep. Anthony Weiner's (D-NY) jerk (nee, dick) behavior, when reminded that there was a hearing back home in SF about Prop 8 (yes, AGAIN), this time with the Prop 8 proponents saying that now retired Judge Vaughan Walker should not have been permitted to hear the case because he's gay and therefore not able to be unbiased - well, Cathy blew a gasket. A bit about that on today's show.

The Conversation is not about technology. It's about what you do with it. Jumping from this basic premise, each week The Conversation's Executive Producer & Host Cathy Brooks explores the bits and bytes that are changing the way people get and share information, interact and the way in which this is fundamentally changing social and professional interactions. Each week guests ranging from up and comer entrepreneurs to seasoned influencers and everyone in between join Cathy to talk about what they do, why they do it and how their personal story fits into the mix.
