Irony and celebration on this week's episode of Social Media Hour. First the celebration - In the spirit of disclosure (and as is evidenced by many previous episodes) I have been and continue to be a fervent supporter for LGBT equal rights. Last Wednesday a Federal judge overturned California's Proposition 8 as unconstitutional. By Thursday the opposition had filed an appeal. Throughout this campaign and moving forward into the next stages of this civil rights movement, the Courage Campaign has been a tireless advocate for LGBT rights, using technology heavily to help expand awareness. This week Eden James, Andy Kelley and Arisha Hatch of the Courage Campaign join the show to talk about how their use of social media has evolved, where it goes next and how its current efforts with the TrialTracker and NOMTourTracker have gone. Now to the irony. This week is Social Media Hour's 69th episode. So it's somehow fitting that the second segment this week is with guest Stacia Carr, Vice President, Technology & Operations for Kink.com. In this segment we'll talk about how her organization is continuing to blaze trails with technology platforms.
