One other interesting observation. During this period, Mangini is the de-facto GM during this period (as he hires coordinators, etc ....). As such, I agree - the job is already setup for Kokinis since I'm sure they've talked.

One other comment - I hear that Romeo is still with the team in Football operations. Also, I hear Romeo may be in the running for the Defensive Coordinator position with Denver. Any news or comments one way or the other? Thanks much. John in Atlanta.

Hey guys. One advantage of hiring Mangini right away is that Lerner avoided a bidding war (potentially). Also, Mangini has first pick of coordinators. One of the knocks on Romeo is that he only used rookie coordinators. I don't think Eric is repeating that mistake.
