  Are black women still desirable? According to some of the professional athletes and the average Black man, we sometimes can’t tell. Is it a trend to date/marry women of the other persuasion? Is it for status or power? Is it a rebellion for what was forbidden many years ago with our ancestors? We’ll also explore the other side – why SOME men other than Black men are afraid to date Black women. Is it out of fear of how their families will react? Is it not accepted in their environment or is it simply against their upbringing? We want to know what you think about this one.   Living off the system - Is the system fair?

  Is the system fair? True enough this may be a split decision as far as opinions are concerned, but by the time we finish discussing this topic, you might have a different outlook whether you answered yes or no to the question asked. Have you ever gone through a financial hardship and couldn’t feed your children and applied for government assistance and you hear, “No.” Why do the government (Dept. of Human Services) want a single mom to sit back and do nothing just to get a small amount of assistance (food stamps, medicaid). What about childcare? In some areas a child can attend school before kindergarten if the child speaks English as a second language. If you are a working individual making the bare minimum you would have to pay for childcare while women on welfare stay at home all day and send their children to daycare free of charge or maybe $20 a week out of their pockets. I don’t know about you but I think if you’re home all day, you should keep your own children! “Shackers” - Why should legally single women who enjoy having the same benefits of a married woman receive a generous amount of financial aid, large income taxes and other benefits? Are the married people punished for saying, “I Do?” Do you find it contradicting that the government wants to cut benefits, but continues to make it easy for those who take advantage of the system?   On The Chicks Corner, our coop was so hot with the “Should your illegitimate child be listed on the obituary of a MARRIED deceased father” on Friday night that we didn’t get to our other topic. Well, you didn’t miss it because we will be discussing it on Sister to Sister (S2S) with Curvy and NeX on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 8pm CST -TEEN SEX, ABSTINENCE AND ABORTIONS. • Is the mother of a pregnant teenager playing “God” when she chooses for her daughter to terminate the pregnancy? • Should the teen father and his parents’ voice be heard regarding the unborn child? • Also, if children are blessings and miracles, then is it still a blessing when they are born to the parent(s) of drug addicts and into unfavorable conditions such as poverty and danger?   Teenagers, Sex and Abortions. Should illegitimate children be listed on the obituary?

  Teenagers, sex and abstinence! Is it really a woman’s/girl’s choice to have an abortion? We’ve always been told that children are miracles and blessings, and we agree but, is it still a blessing when that teen brings a child into poverty, unfavorable and dangerous conditions? What if a mother decides she doesn’t want her daughter to give birth to child – what should she (the mother) do? Is the mother playing “God” when she wants the pregnancy terminated? What if you were the mother of that pregnant girl? Should the baby’s father have any rights to what he wants? Do the parents of the baby’s father have any say so? Have you ever wondered about how Planned Parenthood came about? Well, NeXplicableP will expound on the origin and you definitely don’t want to miss it. When should/shouldn’t illegitimate children be listed on obituaries of their deceased fathers? For example, if your husband had a child by another woman while you were married and he dies, do you as the wife list the children on the obituary?   What's Love Got To Do With It? - If you love me you will. If you love me, you won't!

  Tonight we’ll decipher the differences between trust, jealousy and leaving all doors hanging off of the hinges in your relationship. Just because your mate wants to know where you’re going doesn’t mean she’s jealous. Just because she keeps the doors to her relationship with you monitored, doesn’t mean she’s jealous. There seems to be discrepancies of when it is a lack of trust and when is it jealousy. So you need an excuse to marry someone for money when you know you’re not attracted to that person. You say, “What’s love got to do with it? 1. Remember back in the day when guys would tell us girls, “If you love me you’ll do it.” Well, I use to flip the script and say, “If you love me you wouldn’t want me to do it.” What’s love got to do with it? 2. He’s nice, smart, got money, but I know he loves me. Now you know you don’t want to be with this man who you have little to no physical attraction to. So you don’t have to love him... Right? We know you’re probably saying, "What’s love got to do with it?" 3. Baby, I don’t love her, she’s just somebody I was with. What’s love got to do with it? You have seen a couple of angles that we will be coming from already, but during this show the ladies will be asking, “What’s Love Got to do With It?”

  Chicks and their Cliques, Mean Girls and Exploitation of our Children

  Chicks and Cliques and the pain they cause to others. Are we as parents sitting back and allowing this activity to take place whether it is your child inflicting the pain or your child as the victim. What about the moms that are watching their child become hurt by these doings? It starts early with children and so many of us ignore the “mean girl syndrome” that our children show signs of, all in the name of, “She’s so cute and mean!” That's not cute! Moms, are we unknowingly setting our children up for exploitation? Just think about it for a moment before you answer or get mad about the question. There are reality shows that are showing our children this, the more you show and the less you represent yourself as a real young lady or woman the more attention you will get. I have three words for you – Bad Girls Club! What is that for an influence? What about America’s Next Model? It’s another chicks’ clique. There’s another show that I won’t mention the name, which exploits children to the sickening degree using toddlers! If you’re broke, then go get a job and stop using your child and her body to make money for you. If you always wanted to be a model or a cheerleader then times up! We had our chance! Stop using your children to live through – moms! When does it stop or does it ever stop? What about these picture cell phones and web cams for teens? Another way of exploitation when not directed properly. As you can see, we have a lot to cover so join the discussion on The Chicks Corner because we want to hear from you.

  Is Your Husband Single and A House Is Not a Home Some of us are avid readers, so this title might sound familiar to you. Well, this topic is more than a “similar” title of a book, but real life stories of people we know, know of, or maybe it’s one of us. I use to think it was crazy when a guy would approach me and say, “Are you married or is your husband married?” I’d be like….what!!! Too creative for me! I thought that was the craziest thing that they could ever say. (At least I thought it was at the time). Well, the more I read the book and could identify with or know people who were like the characters in the book, makes me wonder why I didn’t write it. (Just kidding, no coveting here!) Next: A house is not a home. (Just stop and think about this one for a minute or two). What really makes a home? Are you sharing a house and not a home with someone? Has it come down to this, "As long as he pays the bills." Well, I’ll just leave you with this and you’ll get the rest when you listen to the ladies from The Chicks Corner as we deliver our way!
