Being the fifth of nine children, I was the typical “Middle Child” (Syndrome and All). While growing up in the shadows of so many outgoing and dominant personalities, my emotions were suppressed.  Writing poetry has always been my “refuge” from the turmoil of life. 

To display my life, struggles, insecurities, and dreams to the world, is utterly survival to me. At the age of seven, I became aware of the realities and cruelties of the world. My father took his own life and inadvertently took my life also. To be judged, or rather misjudged, is the greatest of all of my many fears. The strength to face the spirit of fear has been the ultimate blessing from my Father, God. Where do I go from here?  Just a little higher in the knowledge of God!
