On this episode of The Change Guru - we're talking loving our birthdays, stepping out of our comfort zone and motherhood after 40.

First up - let's talk the "mom thing"

Are you over 40 and considering motherhood for the first time?

Are you a new mom over 40?

Did you do the parent thing early in life and wonder how a woman summons up the energy to have a baby at mid-life?

My expert guest on the issue of moms at mid-life is Cyma Shapiro. Cyma, 55, is the mother of 8 and 10-year-old children and 28 and 30-year-old stepchildren. She's the writer and creator of NURTURE: Stories of New Midlife Mothers, the first art gallery show dedicated to women choosing motherhood over 40 (now traveling North America). The pictures shown above are from the exhibit and are both taken by

More information on Cyma Shapiro and her work can be found at www.MotheringintheMiddle.com which is dedicated to midlife mothers. Cyma is passionate about supporting women who choose later motherhood and giving them a face, voice, and forum.

After my chat with Cyma, I share Five Tips for Loving Your Birthday and then I wind up with how to deal with getting out of your comfort zone - comfortably. And here's a short video that explains more!
