The Body Politic is a sponsored show by U.S. corporations. The provocative, global, call-in show, features the world’s foremost leaders and pioneers in the exploration of social issues and gender politics, specifically, how the masculine/feminine power dynamic plays out in our every day lives. Fletcher covers a vast array of social issues that continues to dominate world news, politics, and has covered controversial issues facing disenfranchised women and children since 2001. While environmental and animal-welfare legislation is critical to Fletcher, she is best known for her award-winning work on "children and women at risk." Fletcher's print series on L.A. gang members undergoing correctional intervention in conjunction with the L.A. Sheriff's Dept. titled: "Vida: Scared Straight In The Streets of L.A." launched a television series coined "Scared Straight" in 2011. A Vanderbilt Media Fellow in Domestic Violence, Fletcher micro-blogs daily to a growing Twitter following of more than 200,000 people of highly diverse ages and cultural backgrounds. In the interest of exploring the issues of the 99 percent, Fletcher has thrice interviewed founding architects and media liaisons from the General Assembly of Occupy Wall Street, NYC. At 54 Fletcher models for high-end Glamour orgs (clothed) to participate in the coalition of international women fighting ageism and beauty bias. The Body Politic can be heard daily on Itunes.
