n 2001 I was diagnosed with lupus and was told there was no cure for this terrible terminal illness. I had to fight for an answer to my serious health problem, I lacked energy and felt exhausted even after a full night's sleep. I also suffered from muscle pain, joint pain, bouts of falling asleep in public (narcolepsy) and hair loss. First, my doctor (Western medicine) said I had lupus. It is a terminal illness with no treatment and no hope to regain your health or to get your life back. He stuck with that diagnosis for 6 yrs, shoving one drug after another on me, asking me to let him know if the drugs worked or not.

After  2yrs with doctor after doctor, I finally turned to Eastern Medicine. My Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Dr. Karen Raub (DOM), got me started on an organic diet, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) made from herbs, and a regimen of acupuncture twice a month.
