Woman Helped Her Son’s Rapist

A 35 year old woman has been sentenced to one year in prison for helping the man who is convicted of raping her eight year old son multiple times.  Obviously, the Judge and Prosecutors are convinced that both the Mother and convicted rapist are guilty as charged.  But the overriding question is what is God’s judgment?  In other words, what is wrong in this situation and what is right according to the Holy Scriptures?
