Is this book in the same continuity as the Cryptonomicon/Baroque Cycle series? If not, will we get a chance to see any more of that continuity?

Given his writings 15 years ago on Operating Systems and the future of computing, has he ever thought about returning to "non-fiction", specifically, his thoughts on technology advancements past 15 years, vis-a-vis the potential to build a "Zion Control" or "Minority Report"-type GPS rendering engine? ...code named Golgotha, of course :)

If I type the questions here, would one of you be kind enough to ask them, and then shoot me a quick response by email?
I read the series, but it has been so long I need to reread it
I have 3 questions for Neal but as luck would have it I have a conference call (w/ Microsoft of all entities) at the exact time.

Did you guys read the whole Baroque Cycle? After loving Cryptonomicon, I got bogged down in Quicksilver and gave up on the series right then.
