Melissa Jo Peltier is a 21 century renaissance women! Emmy Award Winner, People’s Choice Award Winner, Humanitas Prize Winner, producer, writer and editor of both documentary and dramatic television and film productions, and 5 time New York Times bestselling author.

She is here today to discuss her newest book “Reality Boulevard” which gives readers an inside look into Hollywood’s reality world of television.

Melissa is best known for her work as director and co-writer of the prime time documentary special “Scared Silent: Exposing and Ending Child Abuse” hosted by Oprah Winfrey. This most watched documentary earned Melissa the coveted Humanitas Prize. Her A&E special “Titanic; Death of a Dream” and “Titanic: The Legend Lives On” is the highest rated program ever aired on A&E and won two Emmy’s. She won The People’s Choice Awards for the “Dog Whisperer with Caesar Milan” with numerous credits for her film work as producer for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” “White Irish” and television series such as the “Ghost Whisperer.”

Ms Peltier graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Cum Laude from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. And currently lives with her husband Director/Producer John Gray in New York City.
