The Youth Corner Radio Show is back and Mahogany has some awesome guest this week!
Empowering girls to standout, stand up and be counted. Alliya, Teandra and Jayla are finding ways to encourage young ladies in their community through entrepreneurship and an anti bullying campaign
that gives gifts to girls in their schools who they do not know or do not speak to on a regular basis. Although they are still youth, they have each endured life altering circumstances that include molestation, divorce of their parents, the death of a parent and being placed into foster care. With all they have endured, they smile daily and encourage young ladies who confide in them regarding suicide, family issues, depression and low self esteem. The three of them, commonly called the "The God Girls" among family and friends, are involved in church activities as well as activities at school. Alliya, a trained peer mediator at her middle school, is currently working on her first book. Both Alliya and Teandra mentor young children at the Boys and Girls Club of Elkton and all three girls help senior citizens in the community.
