Ethan had a large tumor in his chest and a few smaller tumors in his abdomen. RMS is very rare and occurs in roughly 40 kids annually in the United States. Kim and Chris Jostad have worked with Doernbecher Children...’s Hospital and Sloan-Kettering in Manhattan to create a treatment plan to not only clean out the cancer but to prevent the very aggressive cancer from returning. Although his treatment has been very aggressive and scans were clear in April 2011, the cancer has come back with a vengeance. Cancer is now in the bones of both legs, throughout his chest cavity and there is a 2 inch tumor above his kidney causing extreme pain. We fought with everything we could do for Ethan. Our hearts are FOREVER broken. Ethan earned his Angel Wings August 8th, 2011... We will continue our FIGHT against cancer in Ethan's HONOR. We MISS our son immensely and the open wound aches of pain. No guests this time but we would love for you to call in while we get our feet wet when doing a show. We will share a simple Back to School checklist a few quick meals for dinner and some lunch box ideas and after school snacks to keep the kids happy. We will talk about the importance of clearing and cleaning before school starts just like you do for Spring Cleaning but I call it School Cleaning. We will talk about doing a personal pep rally for your kids, the cost of getting the kids ready with new clothes, books, supplies, hair cuts and physicals. I am a mom of 2, wife of 1, zookeeper to a chinchilla, 3 dogs, 2 frogs, fish and cat. I am also a business owner by default, non profit founder by passion, inventor by desire and cancer survivor by the grace of God. I love kids, mine not others, food, cleaning, food, traveling, food, being cancer free, food, holidays, food, small towns, road trips, food and chatting with total strangers. I flunked college cause I couldn't pass speech class and actually blew up my cake on my first Home Economics assignment. My family loves to talk loud, others may say yelling we say we just have to hear each other over the TV.
