Sherrilyn Ifill is the 7th President and Director-Counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund.  She is a civil rights attorney, professor of law at the University of Maryland and author of the critically acclaimed book, On the Courthouse Lawn: Confronting the Legacy of Lynching in the Twenty-First Century.  Sherrilyn chats with AYG about what it takes to secure civil rights justice in the new millennium, how the disempowered can agitate, mobilize and organize to become empowered agents of change, what skills activists must possess to sustain a balanced life and avoid burnout and what female leaders inspired her along the way.
