A look at one of the general sessions of the COAAB congress.
COAAB usually have 3 general sessions - One usually deals with the bishopric, One the four-fold ministry and the other one doctrine, sacraments and practical theology.
We have breakout sessions that deals with Women in Ministry, Canon Law, Episcopal Assistants and Liturgy
Our courses tend to follow the Jerusalem Council and the first 7 Ecumenical Councils
The 3rd General Session is the Ceremonial of Bishops. We discuss what is an Episcopal Liturgy and what is a Pastoral Liturgy.
Question - What can you do as a bishop that you could not do as an elder/presbyter?
We examine Bishop's vestments and protocol
and a host of other issues.
The 2015 COAAB Syllabus will be packed full of information as it relates to the Ceremonial of Bishops for those who desire to bring excellence into your role as Bishop in the Lord's Church.
