1st Hour – April 27th, 1968 was the anniversary of Muhammad Ali being stripped of his Heavyweight Champion Title for refusal to enter the Army draft.  We’ll discuss the impact of this decision.

 

Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, the boxer whose wrongful murder conviction became an international symbol of racial injustice, died at age 76 on April 20th of prostate cancer.  We’ll discuss the Hurricane and his legacy.
