Listen to The African History Network Show, (Special Day) Sunday, Dec. 30th, 8pm-11pm EST as we remember 2012 and look forward to 2013.

1st Hour:  In our "Power of Media Segment": We'll discuss Rapper, Shawty Lo's new "Oxygen" Channel Reality TV Special, "All My Babies Mama's".  No this isn't an early April Fool's Joke.  It will follow the lives of Shawty Lo, his 10 Babies Mamas, 11 Children and 19 year old girlfriend.

2nd Hour:  We'll look at some of the biggest news stories for African-Americans in 2012 from New Voter ID Laws to the Re-election of President Obama to the signing of The NDAA 2012.

We lost a lot of iconic African-Americans in 2012 like Whitney Houston, Don Cornelius, Gil Noble and Donna Summer.  Well remember some of those we lost in 2012.

3rd Hour:  Did you know the U.S. is ready to send 3,000 troops into Africa in 2013 to protect U.S. interests in Oil Reserves?

We'll also discuss "The 10 Most Provocative Black History Moments of 2012". From the anniversary in 2012 of the Gabriel Prosser Revolt to the Massacre of Opelousas, LA.

Also since this is Kwanzaa time we'll discus what Kwanzaa is, it's roots and the 7 Principles of Kwanzaa (Nguzo Saba) and their importance.

Where are the Kwanzaa Events in your community and in Detroit?  Call in and let us know.
