The Parent & Youth Juvenile Justice Advocates

United States, EnglishFamily

The E.R.V. Advocacy Institute was created in memory of my son and to all the parents, and youth whom have become entangled in the juvenile justice system. Eric and I became entangled in this chaos....of a system in 2002, at that time he was about 14 years old. I was shocked....and appalled seeing so many young African American males in court rooms than in school's. I felt stereo typed, ignored, and most of all uninformed about what was happening. I knew I was in for a fight, against a system that was trying to take my son away from me with out just cause and I knew I was in this fight alone. I began to research and educate myself on juvenile justice law and became active with organizations that had some involvement on juvenile justice issues. By me educating myself has empowered me to become a Socialpreneur and Activist. This BlogTalk show was created to educate, empower, make comments, and provide information.
