  Tyler Perry's 'Meet the Browns' stars, David and Tamela Mann on The Miss Mo Show

  
  
  
  David and Tamela Mann are best known for their roles in Tyler Perry's plays and feature films. You may remember them from the stage plays: I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Meet the Browns, Madea's Family Reunion, Madea's Class Reunion, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, and What's Done in the Dark. Tamela Mann has appeared on television shows including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, BET Soundstage, 1999 Grammy Awards, Dove Awards, the United States of America World Olympics, and Tyler Perry's House of Payne television show. She has also appeared in the 2001 comedy, Kingdom Come, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, and Meet The Browns. She can also be seen in Perry's feature film Madea Goes to Jail.
  
  On today's show they are getting "Up Close and Personal" with Miss Mo and Jay to talk about their curent roles on TBS' "Meet the Browns" and Tamela's new CD.

  How did Baby-Mama and Baby-Daddy become social norms?

  
  
  The Oxford English Dictionary defines baby-daddy as "the father of a woman's child, who is not her husband or (in most cases) her current or exclusive partner." The baby-mama entry follows the same template with the genders reversed.
  
  The OED lists baby-daddy and baby-mama as "colloquial, chiefly African-American" variants of the Jamaican terms baby-father and baby-mother; its first citation for baby-mother hails from the Kingston Daily Gleaner in 1966. (source: www.slate.com/Julia Turner)

  Debra Killings on The Miss Mo Show

  
  
  
  Debra Killings is a bass guitarist; notable for an extensive session and background vocal work for LaFace Records & Rowdy Records-based artists such as TLC, Monica and OutKast. Killings appears on the majority of the recordings in TLC's catalogue singing background vocals, in Monica's first albums (Miss Thang & The Boy is Mine), and has performed both background vocals and bass guitar for several OutKast albums, including ATLiens and Aquemini.
  
  Killings was the singing voice of Paula Patton's character Angel Davenport on the film Idlewild. Killings' recognizable voice is spotlighted in "Moving Cool", the song Angel first performs in the movie.
  
  Killings' can now be seen and heard, as the bass guitarist in the house band on The Mo'Nique Show.
