Weekly Rant: 7/26/2009: WOW...OH WOW!

A few days I posted one of my columns on line, in the past I have called for people to learn history. I have called out people in the media and sports in general and in my past work, I have disrespected a memory of a great Kansas broadcaster named Hapgood. However a few days ago, I went on a tirade on the KC Assholes or as I call them now, The KC Cut throats. I have heard that this whole biz is full of pieces of crap. A good bunch of my friends in Wichita Kansas have told me, it's dog eat dog down there. People are not real big on the “Big tent” concept. Where people work together and get things done. I spoke with a person, that I went off on in my last column recently. Mr. Willie Parks and he within a 2 ½ hr conversation told me that KC is pretty much the same way. I understand that most of the group in KC are living snakes, backstabbing, people. Mike Tyson years ago said that his great trainer Cus D'Amto said, “There are vermin out here disguised as people and your not smart enough to determine the difference between the 2.”

That is where we pick our drama up this time, I get a nice phone call from Mr. Parks on Friday morning. He begins to start great and then he launches into this TIRADE! The guy goes off for about 10-15 minutes. He of course is tossing around all the buzz words, “Slander lawsuit”,etc. However after talking to the guy for awhile. I understand where he is coming from and he also gives me some insight on where our “hero” Thomas Lamb comes from. He also stays as far away from The Jett Fox situation.

I have no ill will towards Willie and I hear his side of things and he also saw my side of things as well. Once we isolated who was stirring what, we knew who are the players and who are the hustlers here.

Now onto Miss Fox or as we will continue to know her as “Babe”. Now, I still do not know what she does. I still have never met her and still do not understand what she does.{Wait, I mentioned that already}. My feeling on “Babe” is this, If she is so big time, why did she need to borrow a battery and a charger from me(that I would never get back). I find it hard to believe that she would not ask me to borrow the charger instead she put up another guy to do it. Who is just trying to open as many doors as he can in the biz and get him and his band mates ahead. Bled Bone Dry is a SUPER great band, they have a following the likes of which I have never saw. They will go places but they do not need “babe” to get the job done. Plus when I pressed Justin on the issue of where and why he needed the gear, he did not want to tell me, but did. He knew he was being put up to do something and all he wanted was to get in and help out. Second deal, here, “BABE”. Do you realize the “DOLL” comment was a put down? Wait, Maybe she did. Something else if I have no professional business ethics, why are you e-mailing me off “MYSPACE!”. My view is if your old and going to act 13, that's the way it's gonna go. I just continue to ask the question, “WHAT HAS SHE EVER DONE!?”

I love how everyone on line soaks up this drama. For example, I went over to this “Gossip page” called Gatewaycityradio.com and all this place is, is drama. People bash other radio company's and people bash people in and out of the biz. 24-7 and what happens is I get on or other people get on and they get other people upset and “They” lob Phone calls to me at 12pm on a Wed afternoon for no reason. This was the same thing, most people look at that RANT and go, oh some drama is going and nothing more, nothing less. The Indy music biz could dry up tomm and I would have a million things to go with. I however worry about everyone else, because if the biz died today, The “babe”'s of the world and the “Guys with magazine's that no one has ever saw” would be screwed. I guess they could always call up old KSKU Dj's who work at Wichita radio stations and get free passes into stuff or they could start successful internet radio shows where they can interview William Shatner and best selling authors{Wait, that second one, I am already doing.}

Finally let's sum this up in a few lines. The KC cut throats and all the “Promotion babes” want to try to do around here what they have done in Wichita and their own area. They wanna drag something down. So they figure why not start with the guy who is the BIGGEST fish in the sea, Jiggy Jaguar. I made the mistake of pulling the big tent concept and bitches..I am pulling up the stakes and moving on without ya. So you guys have fun playing games and spinning your wheels and all that crap. I will just continue to make magic happen on TV and radio and hopefully we will all be seeing all of you sneak in the back door with your badges plus hanging your banners in some skating rinks across this great land of ours, and tell me how much I am a piece of crap.
