  What's With THE Partner?
  

  What is the story on THE partner? Has it been totally dropped? Are we being thrown a curve ball again? Is there a life of jobbing or something else being planned for The Brian Kendrick?
  
  At present, with Edge being out with his current injury and subsequent recovery from surgery, the buzz seems to be going around that TBK might be one of those being considered as his replacement as the “mystery partner” at the upcoming Night of Champions.
  
  With that in mind, who do you think will be Chris Jericho's mystery partner?
  
  There were some indications that Dolph Ziggler could have been filling that spot, but now that an Intercontinental Championship shot against Rey Mysterio at Night of Champions, that leaves only a few possible options: a new talent from development, The Miz .…..or Kendrick.
  
  Think about it: It’s a great opportunity to pair Jericho and Kendrick. It would certainly explain the entire ‘dropped’ story line of searching for THE partner, and looking over the other options thus far, the guy would be the best choice.
  
  Kendrick is stellar both in and out of the ring and deserves a chance to have some gold once again, whether it would be a tag title or even given a shot at the United States Championship at some point.
  
  Whether as a high flyer, being grounded as a technical guy, or even cutting promos, for a smaller guy, he has it all. Why not put him back in the spotlight once again as the mystery partner?
  
  In addition, Kendrick was the longest reigning WWE Tag Champ with Paul London, so if this is the case, Jericho could give the reason of choosing Kendrick for his partner because of his tag team accomplishments.
  
  Jericho also stated that his partner would be intelligent, devious, cunning, and honest, just like he.
  
  TBK has also said in the past he is honest (didn’t he say once if he had a show on WWE.com it would be titled Brutally Honest? Enough said.), and we all know he has the devious and cunning side.
  
  There are also past promos that TBK had made it clear that he is “the fastest, the most well-trained and the most intelligent wrestler in all the WWE. I have never cared and I will never care about any of you. You’re looking at the future in THE Brian Kendrick.”
  
  Jericho is also one of TBK's idols. It would work perfectly.
  
  But let’s face reality. We all know from past history that it would be very doubtful that WWE would take this prospect and run with it; for one, not only are cruiserweights (with the exception of the likes of Mysterio) are not taken seriously these days, but also despite the idea being somewhat popular with the fans, WWE has a history of swerving totally in another direction
  
  If WWE doesn't make TBK the partner of Jericho, it's a hugely missed opportunity, but that is just my honest opinion. Still, this whole “mystery partner” story may make Night of Champions worth watching, TBK or otherwise.
