TBK and...? THE Guessing Game is On!

A couple weeks ago, I did a column wondering if The Brian Kendrick was Raw’s newest jobber.

Perhaps I had spoken too soon, taking into consideration this past Monday night I (and perhaps many, many other viewers) had gotten the surprise of my life when he’d actually pulled off winning a match.

If that weren’t enough, there was even sweeter frosting on that cake: TBK claims he will have a partner in mind to win the Tag Team Titles. Not just a partner…THE partner.

And from there, the speculation begins. Who is this mystery person?

Some say Kennedy. While it could be a possibility, I’m not so sure, being a promo just aired Monday night for his upcoming return soon.

The return of Londrick? Not likely. London’s already had to drop out (or been dropped) from several indy bookings as of late, citing health issues, and to be honest, he and WWE weren’t exactly the best fit for each other anyway. Scratch that idea.

The Miz? Very strong possibility, considering “THE” hint. But WWE has thrown curve balls several times before to throw off its audience, and there is currently Miz’s angle with Cena. Still, it’s an option to keep an eye on.

Jamie Noble? I say book it. It would work. Noble could use more TV time and he really hasn’t done anything memorable during his stint on Raw since his mini-feud with Regal awhile back anyway.

Chavo Guerrero? There would be an interesting combination, and hey, it would give Chavito something more constructive to do besides be Aunt Vickie’s latchkey.

Sim Snuka? Probably not, but stranger things have happened.

Festus? Eccentric combination, but then again, I’ve seen where WWE has done some much crazier combinations over the years, so I wouldn’t dismiss this totally.

A few have thrown out HBK. While HBK needs to expand beyond shoddily done reincarnations of DX and I think teaming with former student Kendrick would be huge, because not only will it give a much-needed jump start to Kendrick's own career, but also put some much-needed spotlight on the tag division, I don’t see this happening either, considering talk of HBK taking some time off, having only has one year left in the company and no doubt WWE will have bigger plans for him to go out “in style.” In any event, much as I would love the idea, I just don't see HBK and TBK teaming together.

Someone about to be called up from FCW? This could be very likely. With WWE apparently wanting to give younger talent a push (so they are saying presently), I wouldn’t be shocked in the least if at least one talent from there is THE person they have in mind. Quite a few guys have either been signed and/or have been working dark matches recently, so I would be keeping an eye out for a few of those.

In any case, it’s fun to speculate who this new guy will be and if they will blend with TBK as THE new partner and become THE new tag champions. It won’t be Londrick, but it has people talking once again. And I am perfectly happy with that.
