    TBK-Raw's Newest Jobber?

On Raw this past Monday night, in addition to some of the usual, we had the opportunity to view some of the newly drafted talent this week. Not surprisingly (for the most part), the majority of the new guys won their debut matches.

But on his first night back at Raw, The Brian Kendrick jobs big time. It wasn’t a squash match, thank goodness, but he jobbed. Again. I will admit I liked the brief promo with Lilian, though.

One has to wonder what has become and what is to come of this bright, still relatively young talent? With Zeke being drafted to ECW, what is in store from here? The guy could put on some good mid-card matches if given the opportunity.

I was also thinking during the Miz's mic time on Monday night that if that doesn't work out, perhaps if Creative got their noggins together and created a Miz/Kendrick tag team, the combination of both gimmicks could work.

But sadly, I think any chance of Kendrick being pushed up the card are diminished at this point. Yes, I actually said that.

Sad to say, pending a miracle or some change of heart among the powers that be, there’s also likely a “future endeavored” on the horizon one of these days; in other words, Kendrick could join his former tag buddy Paul London in independent shows soon.

Much as we would like this guy to get a push, let’s get real: just because someone is talented doesn’t automatically mean they deserve something. A hard working guy deserves more of an opportunity than a talented yet haphazard person any time. I’m sure many of you are inclined to agree.

For the most part, it is his own fault for being in his present state; at first, he seemed to have been being pushed toward the title scene but he seems to have been choosing the leafy green stuff over his career. Not exactly the priorities that are going to get you ahead in this business.

Now I’m not an expert on drug policies, but rather than keep coughing up a bunch of money and your push just for some weed, just like any other job and/or substance, why not get a suspension or a “three strikes you’re out” rule?

At present, he’s lucky WWE won't fire him on this matter–but who knows how long the bosses’ patience will be tested before it snaps? It's like any other job where you get drug tested and its employees should not doing any type of drugs. Some people may not see an issue with it, but if an employer does, isn’t it smart to quit altogether?

Why mess up an opportunity to advance one’s own career and overcome incredible odds over a high or some other equally stupid behavior?

The man has tons of potential, even if he is small. If he can get his act together and has that same ambition he had at first to make it on his own, then an eventual push should be in order.

But if it’s still just more about getting high then making a name for himself then as much as I love him and respect his talent, well, he’s either going to be stuck being a jobber or without a job at all.

The bottom line is at this time, I honestly think that Kendrick's going to go nowhere on Raw, and that's saying something when I was very enthused when he was sent to Smackdown and repackaged last year. Now I’m not so sure what to think.
