Remnant lessons Balak, Balaam n Israel | shabb-062113-balak-balam

Balak, Balaam, and Israel come into focus as we follow this in the Word of God and learn important lessons for the Remnant believer in these last days. The enemy could not do a thing about Israel, but if they could somehow get Israel to sin, then God himself would destroy Israel!  In the steppes or hills of Moab, the midianites and their women covenanted with death to tempt Israel so the Lord would destroy his own people.

Balaam did not have the blessing of Israel, nor could he enjoy it, but look afar off. He could not curse nor bless, but do what the Lord said he could do in regard to Israel. Yet Balaam who held his position as high before Balak in regard to only saying what the Lord God would have him say, still through evil counsel caused the children of Israel to sin. Balaam knew the weakness in Israel, if he could get them to sin; then God’s blessing would be stopped and God himself would judge Israel!  See Num 23:21
