Discerning the Word of God

In today's broadcast we will be discussing a very timely and important subject of Christian theology and practice: discerning the Word of God. As people of faith we affirm not only the existence of God but that this Divine being also speaks to us. “God is there and God is not silent.” There exists an ongoing conversation between humanity and divinity. In the midst of so many voices of human experience just how are we to “hear” the voice of God? In what ways does a personal God speak to human persons. How does God speak to us? What do we mean when we say that God speaks to us through the “Word of God”? Just what is the Word of God and how do we discern the Word of God from the words of man? These are just some of the questions that we will be examining in today’s broadcast.
