"Merely appending Black to feminism (Black feminism) is insufficient, particularly since Africana women have served as models for White women in their struggle to move from home to workplace and to break silence. Africana women have always been in the workplace next to their male counterparts. Moreover, they have always been verbal, voicing their opinions about issues in general. Hence, naming ourselves after White women and concentrating most of our energies on their agenda would be an act of duplicating a duplicate. The agenda of Africana women is uniquely our own. It is one that is grounded in our history and culture, and hence Africana women cannot risk sacrificing our struggle for the benefit of someone else's struggle." ~ Clenora Hudson-Weems. The first of a 2-part series, we hit the destructive ideology known as feminism as practiced by the Black Woman, head on. Feminism is a WHITE FEMALE CONSTRUCT designed by the white woman in direct response to brutal treatment of her by her European counterpart. And it is just as poisonous as patriarchy. All are welcome to join what is sure to be a very heated discussion on BLACK FEMINISM.
