    Spring is Here!

Many of you have been waiting for Spring to come.  For those of you in the Atlanta area, I know that many of you have already started planting flowers and enjoying the blooming trees.  However, for those of you who are in the Mid-West, we are still seeing days of snow and cold weather even though our tulips are starting to sprout out of the ground.

Spring brings about thoughts of new beginnings, cleaning the home, opening the windows to allow for fresh air and thinking about planting flowers and gardens.

This Spring take the time to make sure that you spend at least 10 minutes outdoors.  Whether you are walking around your neighborhood, biking to the corner market, or spending time in the yard with the kids, take the time to enjoy some fresh air and soak up some much needed sunshine.

We spend much too much of our time inside peering through windows at what has become the Great American picture of nature.  We don't take enough time to actually step out into it.  Our windows have become almost as if another television that one feels is nice to look at, but you don't want to interact with the landscape.

Take the ten minute challenge and spend some time outside.  You might notice things that you haven't seen in a while.

Things that I have noticed this week are:  birds building a nest, a pair of cardinals chasing each other, tulips starting to rise up, the saturated ground from all the rain, toys that were left outside from the Fall that were once buried in the snow, and blue skies that were for many weeks very gray
