Life with a twist of "Green" This program talks about everything from current events, hot topics, family, and community all with a hint of "Green"

A friend once told me that one of the easiest jobs in the world must be a baby stroller sales person. Just imagine a salesperson showing you all the styles and choices and then saying, "but this one is the ultimate in safety and comfort". Would you really have a choice? Safety is the big word when it comes to raising children. If a product can be labeled "safe" then it becomes the obvious choice.
It is no wonder that when you walk into a Whole Foods or Wild Oats store that you see a lot of new moms wandering the aisles. New moms want food that is "safe" and better for their babies. Therefore many of them choose to go organic. Many people who were once fast food fans are now looking at labels of their food and becoming overnight nutrition nuts.
I think that this examination of food is great! For once Americans are starting to re-evaluate the fuel that they put into their body. Americans are starting to think about all the chemicals and additives that they are ingesting.
Americans are also looking at what is offered in school lunches and sold in school cafeterias. Items such as donuts, pop and chips should not be considered as sides for school lunches. There is no wonder why we have such a huge childhood obesity issue.
My challenge to all who read my posts is to examine your food before you buy it. Question where it came from, how it was grown, and if it is a food that you feel is beneficial to creating new cell growth. Also, if you have a child in school look at their lunch menu with a critical eye and see if your school is doing all they can to offer healthy lunches. The USA Green Ladywww.BlogTalkRadio.com/the-usa-green-ladywww.myspace.com/theusagreenladywww.HealthyGreenAndSmart.com
