  • On Demand Episodes

    Original Air Date:

A winning Attitude...if not now, When?????

Join the dialogue on the importance of a winning attitude, conquering a selfish society (Vani), manners and respect, and rearing boys to become men. Also, now is the time for prayer...It is not by our strength or our might. Our community is at war and healing starts within. Call the show and weigh in your perspective. We send out prayers and good energy to Jennifer Hudson in light of the current news.

  • Original Air Date:

The Urban View...Who qualifies to hold the Nation's checkbook?

Who is better suited at organizing people for a common cause to get this nation out of the slump? Sounds like America is ready for something new...looks like we are at the place of being who we claim to be. Who would better manage our nation's checkbook? McCain or Obama? Biden or Palin? Also, will racism decide this election? Are we ready to deal with racism once and for all? Can we come back with the right response? Is racism overshadowing this election from a "withdrawn image" perspective? Call in and weigh your perspective.

  • Date / Time:

Will racism hinder the resilience of our Nation; its time to take a stand America!!!

Interestingly enough, Palin was calling Obama unpatriotic and it turns out her husband belongs to a group that is interested in overthrowing the government and breaking Alaska off from the union...that figures.  They somehow sound like the bottom rung of dominant culture.  They must have more shotguns than a pawn shop down south.  We should all be alarmed about the critical times plaguing our educational system, financial systems, our lack of humanity and respect for our fellow person, and the fear of a president without precedence.
Racism has hindered so much in our nation's history.  Will we allow the ugly head of injustice to frigate us into another war under McCain's regime?  I have a 9 year old son and am fearful of him not knowing the "opportunity rich" America.  I don't want any parts of creating a national debt that our children will have to pay.  I believe in the "melting pot" of America.
Wall Street and those crooks have bullied us enough.  Somehow, the middle-class gets left holding the bag while everyone in Washington eats cake.  Enough already.  We are the same people that survived the horrors of slavery, segregation, the great depression of 1929 and still...when you put a white child and a black child in a sandbox, they play without disparity.  We can stand to learn a thing or two from our children.  If nothing else, we ought to exercise those things we tell our children.  America, for once and for all, can we practice what we preach?  There is no room for fear of the unknown...
WE need a president that can repair relationships and gain our allies' support back.  America is one nation amongst many; from where I sit, I enjoy the freedoms of our society.  Likewise, can we act like both parties in this presidential election are "free"!?

  • Original Air Date:

The Urban View highlighting the Attitude of the 2008 Election

Join us for an evening of dialogue on the crisis in America. Our issue is not unknown to our resilient history; now is the time for our nation to make a reluctant shift. We will review the vice presidential debate to see how the "bootcamp" helped Palin, if at all. The gas shortage in Atlanta, weigh in on McCain's contribution to the "bailout", Bush economics (recession), and Phoenix will weigh in from an activist's perspective while working the swing state of Ohio for Obama. Give us a call live and weigh in your perspective.
