Mat 16:24 KJV - Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. What does it mean to “come after me” as stated in Matthew 16:24, what does it mean to “take up his cross” in the same verse and finally what does it mean when Jesus says “follow me”. I ask the questions because some seem to think that the answers or difficult to discern or to deep to convey. I can sum up all three answers to the questions with two words “imitate Christ”. 1 John 2:6 "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." 1 Peter 2:21"Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:" With the allotted time let us discuss what it means to “come after Christ”, what does it mean to “take up his cross” and finally what does it mean to “follow Christ”. Michael
